If you do not look for something how on Earth can you expect to find it?
Now obviously there are days when we feel as though we can't get out of bed, or something happens that attacks our wellbeing and leaves a sinkhole in our road of positivity. Other days we spill our morning coffee on our white blouse, or we go to work with toothpaste smeared around our lips. No matter the story, we can always rearrange the letters in our alphabet to tell a different one. We all have the ability to change our story and rearrange those collections of 26 letters into wonderful uplifting reminders about the day.
Again this is a recreation of a previous social media post I made about a so-called negative in my day transforming into a lazy-day positive. Now, it wasn’t a huge life-changing event, but rather something minor that I feel everyone can relate to. I had planned my day specifically around a university class running from 10:30am until lunch. A friend of mine wanted to catch up, and although I wanted to see them as early as I could, I couldn't fit them in before 12. It wasn't until pouring my definitely-not-ready-for-the-day morning coffee that I realised my class wasn't being run that day.
I spent far too long resisting this realisation and scrambling for things to do because my day literally didn't start now until 12. That was until I realised. "Actually, why am I complaining?" I'd scored myself 3 bonus hours to do absolutely nothing, which by the way, at that point in my life was my favourite kind of something!
I let myself get worked up about nothing.
Because of that, I can't stress the importance of the PPP method.
Pause. Pursue. Positive.
